Deep Cleaning vs. Regular Cleaning: Which Does Your Home Need?

Regular cleaning maintains the rooms you use every day. Deep cleaning adds detailed attention to buildup and surfaces that need more work. The best starting point depends on your home’s current condition and the scope agreed with the cleaning company, not simply the name of a package.

What regular cleaning covers

The Minit Maids standard checklist covers kitchen counters and sinks, appliance exteriors, the microwave, bathroom fixtures, mirrors, dusting and floors. It also lists couch vacuuming and bed making. Review the full room-by-room checklist for the precise tasks rather than treating this summary as a replacement.

What the deeper visit adds

The published deep-cleaning checklist adds hand-washed baseboards, washed cabinet exteriors and window sills, detailed blinds and carpet edges, and cleaning door fronts and backs. Tell the office about the surfaces and buildup you want addressed so the planned work is clear.

What is not automatically included

A deeper clean does not automatically include every specialty task. Interior oven and refrigerator cleaning, interior windows and linen changes have an additional charge and must be requested in advance. Cleaning carpet edges is not the same as carpet shampooing.

Choose the starting point, then the frequency

A home with buildup may benefit from a detailed first visit before recurring maintenance. A home already maintained may need a different starting point. One-time means a single visit; it does not automatically mean deep cleaning. Share your priorities and ask the office to recommend an appropriate scope.
