A Practical Move-Out Cleaning Checklist for Charlotte Homes

A bright living room with an adjoining kitchen

A useful move-out checklist starts with the requirements of the property and the work actually agreed with your cleaner. Minit Maids moving cleaning is intended for an empty home. Send any landlord or property-manager checklist before arranging the visit.

Before you request the clean

Confirm when belongings will be removed, how the team can enter and the deadline for returning keys. Share the full address, approximate size and current condition. Tell the office if other work will still be happening so timing and access can be discussed realistically.

Walk through the main rooms

Discuss kitchen counters, sink, appliance exteriors and microwave; bathroom fixtures and mirrors; dusting and floors in the agreed rooms. Identify any detailed surfaces that need additional attention. This planning list is not a promise that every task is included in your visit.

List the extras rather than assuming them

Ask specifically about the inside of ovens, refrigerators, cabinets and interior windows. Listed specialty tasks, including oven and refrigerator interiors, carry an additional charge and need advance arrangement. The office must confirm any task that is not on the published checklist.

Keep inspection expectations clear

Cleaning is one part of a handover. Repairs, property condition and landlord decisions are separate issues. We do not guarantee a security-deposit refund or an inspection result. Confirm the cleaning scope and visit with the office before relying on it for your handover date.
